COMMONSENSE RIDING & HORSE TRAINING LESSONS
The regular lesson program is available to  riders who may either trailer in with their horse or use a well trained WHF horse. The rider gets unmounted exercises to gain correct body alignment, flexibility, and strength. The horse is taught in-hand exercises to gain respect, trust and communication with the trainer and to gain self awareness and balance and strength for self carraige. Lunging and long lining training techniques are included, allowing riders to eventually move into their specific interest of dressage, jumping or western riding.
Lessons are aimed at helping riders reach their short term and long term goals and always end in discussions to ensure understanding of material.

Help is also available for people wishing to become Centered Riding
Instructors or to move up the Levels.

We take a sincere interest in helping people who are returning to horses after time off, who may be recovering from an injury or who for various reasons need to regain their self confidence

COMMONSENSE HORSE TRAINING
Horses accepted for training should be 3 years of age and sound of mind and body. They receive in-hand work, lunging, long lining, ridden training of your choice (basic training, dressage, western), and body massage as needed. Owner involvement in the training is encouraged.
We can guide  owners  with the rehabilitation of injured horses.

Sam is available for CLINICS of two or more days at your farm or school. Using her vast knowledge from over 45 years of experience and training, she can formulate a clinic to suit your needs whatever your level. She is a Centered Riding Level IV Apprentice instructor and incorporates a combination of techniques and training methods from TTEAM, the Alexander Technique, T'ai Chi Chuan, Pilates and classical western and dressage, while using various teaching aids to help riders develop a comfortable mental and physical partnership with the horse. She has a unique ability for solving horse and rider problems while teaching the correct foundation of training.
While Sam is not certified in the bodywork modalities she continues to study them and uses exercises and techniques as they apply to riders.

Our special program is the ADULT RETREAT for people wishing to spend quality time forming a respectful bond and working relationship with the horse.

Each year CLINICS are held at Welcome Home Farm with guest instructors. Of two to three days in duration, these clinics consist of intensive study, groundwork and riding sessions.
The  Centered Riding clinics are open to all levels of riders from all disciplines.
The  TTEAM clinic is open to all people and horses and may include massage and healing techniques, and training exercises both on the ground and for riding. All these clinics help form a bond of understanding and cooporation between a person and his/her horse. The techniques can help overcome health, injury and training problems.
Horses learn to work happily without stress, while riders learn to ride comfortably and effectively.  VISIT:www.TellingtonTTouch.com
and learn how the Tellington TTOUCH and the Tellington*Touch*Equine*Awareness*Method (TTEAM) can help you create a more wonderful partnership with your horse, dog, cat, bird, bunny or another animal companion.
