Meeting Reports

PTR – Minutes – 4-11-09

Members Present:  Chris, Kathy, Lori, Paula, Robin, Sam and Sally

  Guests: Althea Drummond

Meeting:

Our presenter was Suzanne Walcott who is an animal communicator and she started the meeting by giving us a very interesting and informative talk.  During this part of the meeting Suzanne filled us in on her background and experience and how she became an animal communicator.  She stressed the fact that she wasn’t a problem solver but saw her role as presenting information which might be helpful to the animal owner, particularly if there difficulties in the relationship. She encouraged questions both during and after her presentation and we all learned a lot.

After her presentation, Suzanne was available to do short readings and everyone present either had her do a reading or was able to sit in on one.  Most of us had photos from which she did her readings but she also did a few readings with live subjects which were interesting for members to observe. Members had her do readings on both dogs and horses. She gave us all a lot to think about and information which will hopefully help us to have more enlightened interactions with our 4 legged companions in the future. Anyone who wasn’t able to make the meeting but would like more information on Suzanne or any of the readings which she did for us should contact one of the members who was present.

Many thanks to Kerri and Kathy for bringing the refreshments!

Congratulations to Paula Leavitt on passing her D1 and D2 tests. Since she lives 2 hrs. away, Paula came early so that she could do them before our mounted season begins.

Don’t forget that the Horse Rescue Speaker - Vicki Schmidt, will be coming to Sam’s on Sunday afternoon, May 3 at 12:30 pm to give us a 3 hr. workshop and everyone is encouraged to bring guests. There is no charge for members but we are asking adult guests to pay $10. And Jr. guests, $5.00.

Our 1st mounted meeting will be Sat., May 30th. and will be taught by Jennifer Lee, USPC  HA rating.  Jenny is from WA and is a student at Bates College.

Respectfully submitted,

Sally Savage, Secretary
